Mills officials had planned for the company's chief operating officer, Mark Ordan, to come to New York to unveil a $500,000 model of Xanadu for Gov. Jon Corzine and members of the press. At the same time, Ordan tentatively planned to announce a series of leases for some 200,000 square feet of entertainment venues at Xanadu, including Lucky Strike, the upscale bowling and billiards lounge, and Landry's Aquarium Restaurant. But instead of announcing leases for the $2 billion project, the company announced its president was leaving.

Mills spokesman David Doug lass did not return a phone call seeking comment.

Critics of both Xanadu and Mills said the continuing bad news about the company made it unlikely the developer would ever be able to complete the project.

"Xanadu is like a baseball player with a huge contract and a devastating injury," said Ron Simoncini, a spokesman for Mills' rival Hartz Mountain Industries. "No one wants it, even for free."

Despite the bad news, George Zoffinger, chief executive of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, said he remained confi dent Mills and Xanadu would ultimately thrive.

"The project is going to work and we are going to be proven right," Zoffinger said.

ich hoffe ich komme noch an die begründung für die erhöhung des kursziels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
die datenlage dürfte sich seit seit dem letzten call wohl eher verdüstert haben. evtl. hat er aber auch einfach die ltzten wochen urlaub gehabt und die news nicht mitbekommen. ne andere erklärung habe ich nicht.
